About us
Movastra by Rakshita Jain is a fusion performance and costume brand created at the intersection of movement, storytelling, and artistic expression. Designed, curated, and created by a performing artist for artists, Movastra blends cultural aesthetics with contemporary design to create fusion dresses and costumes for performances, celebrations, and special occasions.
Every creation is thoughtfully designed and produced in-house with attention to comfort, movement, detail, and visual grandeur for both solos and groups. From stage-ready costumes and custom creations to personalized styling experiences, each piece is inspired by the rhythm, emotion, and energy of performance itself taking care of the required sizes and fabric choices.
Beyond costumes, Movastra also extends into dance training and choreography in Kathak, Semi Classical, Bolly-Hop, Folk and many more — creating a space where movement and design coexist seamlessly.

Our Founder
Rakshita Jain is a senior disciple of Pt. Shri Jagdish Gangani Ji and a Gold Medalist in Masters of Performing Arts (Kathak). An internationally acclaimed dance artist, she has over 9+ years of experience as a Indian cultural dance practitioner, performer and choreographer, across India and the USA.
Beyond her extensive work in performance and teaching, her vision extends into creating meaningful impact through the arts. This vision led to the inception of Movastra—a creative platform that blends dance, design, and storytelling, while also aiming to empower skilled women artisans and tailors by providing them opportunities to showcase their craftsmanship and artistry.
